Flying to Raleigh
I was scheduled to fly up and visit the folks at Raleigh this morning. Tim and I had a late night going over proofs of the issue we will send to the printers. I actually left Tim at the office because I still had to pack! By the time I got to bed it was after 1:00 AM and I had a cab picking me up at 5:30. So I thought I would get four hours of sleep. But that is the least of my troubles as I was to find out.
Just as we were about to lift off the pilot throttled down and returned to the terminal. “There was a bad vibration, so we are going to have maintance crew look at it.” So here we all sit. I had a 6:45 AM flight and it’s now 8:00.
He has just announced that uneven tire pressure caused the vibrations and we’ll be lifting off by 8:30. Wish me luck!
