Tune into your favorite live broadcast of the Tour de France on Saturday, July 2 at 8 AM and then join us here for witty banter with Neil Browne and other cycling fans!
The 2011 Tour de France starts in the Vendée region without its customary prologue. Instead, it’s a road stage taking the peloton across the Passage du Gois. During high tide this section of road is submerged, however by the time the group comes across the narrow passageway will be above water and hopefully dry. The finish is a slight uphill but you can still expect a sprint finish.
