I grew up listening to the tales of my father’s experience as a professional bike racer in Ireland. I use my inherited gift of storytelling and experience in competitive cycling as a sportswriter, cycling analyst and host of TourChats for Cycling Fans, a live interactive web show.
During my career in sports journalism, I became a social media innovator developing a following among cycling fans as well as industry insiders. As an editor and journalist I respond quickly to developing stories and create engagement. I cultivated a following for ROAD Magazine as well as my own personal brand by interacting with people at cycling events and through several social media channels. As Editorial Director I set the tone, developed content strategy and managed contributors. As a freelance writer my clients have ranged from media publications to marketing agencies to individual athletes.
I now use my journalist superpowers to help brands tell their story and engage with consumers. When I’m not slaving away over a laptop I can be found racing my bike, being an early adopter for anything electronic and randomly tweeting as @neilbrowncom.
