All types of media outlets are here at the camp and just not cycling only magazines. Versus is out here with a camera crew as is various sporting magazines. I can safely say that I’ve never been to a team camp like this before.

Ice cream and brownie line: pull through.
Was it true that Velonews was banned from the media scrum?
What? no Waffle House Hat???
Whats wrong with more media coverage. We need all that we can get
There is nothing wrong with all the media covering the camp. It was great to see magazines that rarely or ever cover cycling there. Like you, I welcome it. It helps grow the sport and keeps me employed!
The De Rosa bike for 2008 is bad ass.
…jesus, i feel like i’m in a tapas bar…such a variety of tiny servings…
…a splash of so-cal rain to wet the whistle…
…a little bite of green bike, mmmm, tasty, de rosa’s a favorite but i’m used to it being served w/ dished hed’s …
…three little helpings of tyler ham from the boston area which has a sporty flavor at this time of year…
…the floyd is tastefully served but will need more time to cure…that could be a whole meal in itself…
…now i wait to be seated for the main dish…will it be served raw, steamed on hot rocks or fried to a crisp…
…either way, i’m hungry for more & wondering if the head chef will make an appearance…
…say waiter, when do you start serving ???…
…on a more serious note, i wanna know how micheal ball is going to address a pro-active anti-doping policy…
…the man likes to make absolute statements, so i wanna hear him make one in the right direction…
likely he won’t. but who cares. just let these guys race. it’s gonna be exciting this year with so many good teams in the US and so many great races (Utah, Cali, Missouri, Georgia, etc).
Let’s just let this shit play out for once.
Are we (cyclist/cycling fans) so desperate for attention from the “outside” world that narcicistic blowhard like Michael Ball can somehow be perceived as good for the sport?
Michael Ball is good for cycling in the same way that John Rocker is good for baseball, Terrell Owens is good for football, and Motley Crue is good for rock n’ roll. In other words, he has nothing more to offer the world than his own self-serving outbursts.

It’s great to see cycling get mass media coverage but if any of these guys get busted again, its gonna be the typical “I told you so, all cyclists are dopers” story and I’m sick of that story. I guess I’d rather see them at the slipstream camp.
Either way the De Rosa looks sick and it’s good to see a shot of Floyd with a smile on his face and not in a courtroom.
This sport needs some “flavor” and that’s what Ball gives. If this team explodes people will say “Told ya!”. If these guys kill it and show some real results then people will say “Right on!”. This is a fair-weather sport if their ever was one. Either way, it’s gonna be entertaining that’s for sure!
…personally, i don’t like the man’s loud mouth bullshit, but he’s here, he’s real & he’s not afraid to butt heads w/ the very less than perfect usacycling ‘powers that be’…
…i applaud that as a healthy aspect & i applaud the fact that he’s willing to employ people that don’t fit the preconceived image of what is ‘correct’…
…i just wanna see that positive step in a pro-active stance…
